HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Click the picture to see several other pictures in a quick slideshow from our Thanksgiving together in Vinings, GA 2001. There's even a picture of Jessica showing Jack how to uncork it. Unfortunately, I didn't capture on film the famous mold disaster in the parking lot!

It's Christmastime in Sherman Oaks

The beautiful tree along with the piped-in Christmas music convinced me to do some Christmas shopping (for others!) this warm evening at the Sherman Oaks Galleria. Joy to the World.

Whatever...

I see this car all the time and had to take a picture
for Susan...

My Doctor's new old office

One of my Doctors just moved his practice to a new location. I had to take a picture of it because it even though these are all offices, they look like they were once part of an old motel. Very cute (and only a mile from me.)

Homecoming Games haven't changed much

Friday night I went to La Habra High School's Homecoming Game. It was the La Habra Highlanders against Buena Park's Coyotes. Even though Buena Park is only minutes away from La Habra, there were less than 20 people in their stands. It was so sad. Later in the game it was obvious why no one was there. They got creamed. I'm not sure if they ever scored as we left before it was over. (I found out later that they haven't won a game all season.)
I had a great time. Homecoming games haven't changed at all really, except that 4 out of 5 teenagers there were on a cell phone. In my day, only one of my "friends" even owned a pager and it was huge.
Ah, high school takes me back. Some things never change.

Homecoming Princess

My friend Sherri's niece was selected as one of the two Sophmore princesses on her Homecoming Court at La Habra High School. Here is a picture taken of her before the game. She was absolutely beautiful. Congratulations Cyla!
