Remember the good old days?
When gas was only $4.03? Ah, the memories.
Thanks ~ Céline Sent from my iPhone
UPDATE: I am not happy with some of the limited capabilities of my new sparkly iPhone. It will probably be returned.

My trunk is bigger than I thought!
Okay, okay. I am talking about the trunk of my Volvo not my personal trunk (though it's a little bigger than it should be...) Anyway, I am currently renting a Pontiac Solstice and I had to reposition my small laptop bag in the trunk so I could close it. I could not get my carry-on duffle bag in there at all. Cute car but I don't think I'll ever want a roadster. I just have too much stuff! (By the way, my car is also faster!!)

PDF This
I have added a new button to the bottom of each blog page (right above the stat counter). It allows you to immediately convert my blog to a pdf file. If you wanted to save a post, the easiest way would be to open that post (by clicking on the title). Then you hit the "save page as PDF"button. You could do this on the front page, but it would have multiple posts on it.

Purple Streets
I don't know what kind of trees these are but they are beautiful and in full bloom in Long Beach. This street is parallel to Bellflower, right across from the library and all the shopping centers. As I drove further down the street, the purple trees were on both sides of the street to where they were actually over me as I was driving. Very pretty.

Gas
On my way home from kickboxing class last night (which btw, kicked my butt!!), I snapped a picture of current gas prices at the CHEAP gas station on the corner of Bellflower and Atherton (a little over a mile from my place.) Unfortunately, my car only takes premium gas so that means I am paying over $4 a gallon!! On the bright side, I do get pretty good gas mileage.
I'd love to know, how much are you paying for gas in Ohio and Georgia? Let me know in the comments (which you don't have to sign in for anymore - so it should be super easy.)

Kabob Bash at Tamara's
This past Saturday, Tamara hosted our monthly Girlfriends Dinner. She grilled yummy kabobs for us and we got to enjoy the beautiful LBC weather on her deck. I tried taking more pictures this time, but I still have a ways to go with my picture taking (I totally missed dessert!) Anyway, I did post the best of the pictures on flickr here. If any of the girls want them, I can post on shutterfly, snapfish, etc or email to you, just let me know!

March and April Girlfriends Dinners
Back when I was still at CSD, I met Kate on a tiny flight to Modesto. She invited me to dinner at her house with her girlfriends. I feel so lucky to have met this group of girls. They are all so wonderful! Every month, one of us hosts dinner. I didn't take any pictures of Kate's dinner, which is a shame since she has beautiful views of the ocean from her house in RPV (Rancho Palos Verdes for the non-Californians.)
April's dinner was hosted by Carolyn, where I took a few pictures when we went up to Signal Hill to watch the sunset. That's LA in the background!
Plus, we got to see a group celebrating a quinceañera.

Postcards
I have decided to start posting (no pun intended) any postcards that I get from friends and family. So I encourage you to all send me postcards! If you do not have my address, please email me for it (or you can post a comment.)
Today I got two postcards in the mail from Mother and Father. One was dated April 22 and one on the 24th. Wow! They took a long time to get to LBC. Maybe it's the Mexican post? This one says that it is the an aerial sight of beaches and hotels at the north zone of Puerto Vallarta.
This one says beautiful beaches in Mazatlan, Mexico.
So how about sending me some Ohio postcards for those visiting? Hint, hint!!

Just in case...
BTW, they are gone.
As usual, I am so behind in posts...However, the good news is that I now have a job!
I still have lots of pictures from when Mother and Father were here. Of course, I miss them already even though I talked to them each on the phone today. Please bear with me as I create some past posts out of order for a while.
Here is a picture of father relaxing (at my urging) the night before they left Long Beach. As you can see, he is taking a lovely bubbly, vibrating foot bath and looking through my newest cookbook Hungry Girl. (BTW, he approved this picture.)
